Monterosso is the largest village in the Cinque Terre, described by Montale as a refuge for fishermen and farmers. Famous for its long beach stretching along the gulf, the village has historical origins dating back to 1201, when the lords of Lagneto, owners of a castle of which only a few ruins remain today, signed an agreement with Genoa. The community of Monterosso developed in 1214, when the first fortifications were built to protect the village from Saracen raids, creating the largest defensive system in the Cinque Terre.

- A janta na casa do Walter foi espetacular. Ele nos fez provar suas clássicas tagliatelle à meth, que realmente nos deixaram maravilhados. Mas o melhor de tudo foi o tiramisù dele, que é realmente uma bomba de energia.
